Late Season Tarpon, Snook & Reds

Now that the big girls have left the Nature Coast its time to play with the juveniles. Homosassa late season Tarpon fishery is very plentiful and last through mid September. Although the summer rains will push fish in and out of the back country, it remains fairly consistent until the first cold front of fall. Not to worry, if the Tarpon don’t show up to the party the Snook & Redfish bite has been excellent. Many 20+ fish days for anglers on spinning rods, and the shots are there for the fellas throwing long rods. Tailing reds have started to do their thing on low water and calm days. Although a little spooky at times, a well presented fly is the trick to getting these fish to eat. Lets go get on em!
