Another Year In The Books

After a great start this year Florida’s duck season slowed waaaaay down going into second phase. The warm weather made it tough for Florida boys to capitalize. The migration seemed to be about a month late. Even STA hunting was tough for a few fellas I know who managed to snag a permit this year. Most of Central Florida’s lakes were barren even though they remained full of hydrilla and healthy duck habitat. To combat the sub-par conditions we took to the salt water hoping the diver-ducks may make a showing before the end of the season. We managed a few ducks in the marshes from Tampa Bay up to Crystal River, but it just wasn’t what it was in years past. Until next year….Let Em Land Boys!
